Our capital investment division will provide our group with access to a wide variety of corporate operations and exciting new opportunities. Our management services division will work directly with owner-managers to strategically scale their operations as they work towards building a succession plan for the future.
We are continuously seeking new opportunities that align with the strategic directions of our capital investment division and align with the capacities of our management services team. We are happy to take a minority position and work directly alongside management as we create real value by achieving both vertical and horizontal growth.
Criteria we consider favourable for a potential acquisition:
A company with potential for growth, either through the addition of new locations or an expansion of products or services.
A capable owner-manager or group that has a strong understanding of their operations.
A unique supplier and customer base.
A reasonable timeline for restructuring, growth and transition.
An opportunity to grow market share, either within the industry or a market niche.

Jared Burwell
Founder / Managing Partner
Jared Burwell founded Viros Group in 2020. He created the company with a vision and mission to help business owners create value in their companies as they worked towards a succession plan and eventually retirement. For the past 21 years, he has focused on business management, accounting, and advisory services primarily in the public accounting sector.
Through his work, he has provided valuable guidance and support to hundreds of owners, managers, and directors of small and mid-sized businesses. His work has ranged from financial management and advisory services, regulatory filings and financial reporting, business plans and business development as well as representing both buyers and sellers on multiple purchase, sale, acquisition and merger transactions.
Jared strives to go beyond the numbers and truly values the one-on-one personal relationship side of this business. He has a caring and compassionate approach to his work. He always takes the extra time to listen and address the specific concerns of business owners as they work through these complex and life-changing transactions.
Jared was born in Regina, lived in Edmonton for 10 years and has now been in Calgary since 2011. Jared is an avid golfer and a member at Earl Grey Golf Club. He enjoys many other outdoor activities and annually ticks off destinations from his travel bucket list.

Athena Bookkeeping Services is a Viros Group owned company. Our 7 person team (and growing) specialize in full-service bookkeeping, payroll and operational reporting for a wide variety of clients.
In addition, Athena handle all of the ongoing bookkeeping and monthly reconciliation requirements for our business operations. Having our own in-house support allows us to control the workflow and efficiently manage our client’s needs and expectations.
